NO NBA CALL FOR MBA

Great Britain international Matthew Bryan Amaning went unpicked in the annual NBA Draft which took place in Newark on Thursday night.
The Londoner, coming out of the University of Washington, had worked out for several teams in recent weeks but failed to hear his name called.
He is now likely to pursue a career in Europe.
Speaking on his Twitter page, Bryan-Amaning said: “Thanks for all the support y’all.. London sorry I kept y’all up.. Guess it weren’t meant to be.”
With the top pick, the Cleveland Cavaliers took Kyrie Irving.
The Australian born, 19-year-old point guard went first while the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Arizona power forward Derrick Williams with the second pick and Turkish centre Enes Kanter became the first European chosen at three by the Utah Jazz.
Irving, who spent a year at Duke University, said: “This is all surreal. I am glad my friends and family are hear and able to experience this with me. This is a once in a lifetime experience. I have worked countless hours in the gym building up to this moment.
“I am looking forward to getting there (to Cleveland) and transitioning my game to the organisation. I am really looking forward to getting to Cleveland.”
The last time Cleveland had the first pick the franchise selected LeBron James in 2003; James went on to win two MVP awards with Cleveland before moving to the Miami Heat last summer.
