BRYAN-AMANING INKS TURKEY DEAL
- Updated: July 7, 2011
Great Britain forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning has signed for Turkish League side Hacettepe for his rookie professional season.
The Ankara-based team have just been promoted to the first division and have turned to the University of Washington graduate to lead their challenge.
The Londoner went undrafted in the recent NBA Draft and with the lockout pending, he has now signed early in Europe.
Bryan-Amaning confirmed the deal on Twitter saying: “June 23rd didn’t go my way but my road 2 redemption starts 2day..signed my 1st pro contract.”
It is understood that the one year contract has an opt-out clause for the NBA. It has not yet been confirmed whether the ex-Brixton player will be reporting for GB training camp later this month.
