38 teams from 18 countries now know their path into the 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague after the draw was made in Barcelona on Wednesday.
Defending champions Panathinaikos – who will have strong ambitions of ending up in next May’s finale in Istanbul – head what looks the toughest group, paired with CSKA Moscow, Malaga, Zalgiris, Zagreb and Brose.
The first round groups are as follows.
Group A: Olympiacos Piraeus, Caja Laboral, Fenerbahce Ulker, Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, NGC Cantu, Sluc Nancy Basket
Group B: Panathinaikos Athens, CSKA Moscow, Unicaja Malaga, Zalgiris Kaunas, Brose Baskets, KK Zagreb
