FINCH MAKES CUTS AS CLARK GIVEN ALL CLEAR

Dan Clark has been passed fit for EuroBasket after MRI scans showed no serious damage to the Great Britain forward’s hand, leaving coach Chris Finch to cut his squad to 13 ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Latvia.

And Matthew Bryan-Amaning and Laurence Ekperigin were the unlucky twosome to miss out when the squad flew to Riga ahead of their final tune-up before EuroBasket.

Clark’s availability has provided a major boost for coach Chris Finch, who confirmed he will be ready for Wednesday’s opener.

“Dan should be okay” Finch said. “There’s no significant damage that we didn’t expect. We won’t play him at the weekend, but we expect him to be okay for Lithuania.”

Finch will have to finalise his squad on Sunday ahead of Tuesday’s deadline with Kyle Johnson thought the most likely to miss out.

“We won’t have made the final decisions until after Saturday’s game,” he said.
