Scotland lost 88-76 to England in their first warm-up friendly ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
Glasgow Rocks guard Danny Huffor hit a game-high 35 points on his debut, with American-based centre Ali Fraser adding 20 points and 11 rebounds.
However the Scots couldn’t overturn a 43-25 half-time deficit despite a late rally with Guildford’s Tayo Ogedengbe hitting a team-best 25 for Paul James’ men.
“It was a good test for us,†Scotland captain Gareth Murray declared.
“It wasn’t the best team England could put out but they were comfortable throughout the whole game. We didn’t push them hard enough. But it was our first game together for a couple of years. We didn’t expect offensively or defensively to be there. But this is a stepping stone towards the Europeans.â€
