Great Britain women’s star Jo Leedham says her side must learn the lessons from Sunday’s humbling at the hands of Turkey when they meet the Czech Republic tonight in Prague.
The 2010 world championship finalists are arguably the toughest opponents Tom Maher’s side have faced in their Olympic build-up so far.
It will be exactly a year to the day since they last faced the Czechs in the group stages of EuroBasket, when the Czechs ran out 60-45 winners, with shooting guard Katerina Elhotova leading the way with 27 points.
But with five wins in ten friendlies to date, Leedham – the side’s leading scorer – says lessons are being learnt en route to London.
She said: “We’ve got two more games, so we’re looking forward to them and just keep it moving forward.”
