ADVANTAGE MIAMI AS HEAT IS ON OKC
- Updated: June 18, 2012
LeBron James had 29 points and 14 rebounds as the Miami Heat took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals with a 91-85 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.
Kevin Durant had 25 points for the Thunder, but picked up his fourth foul in the third quarter when OKC led by 10. Miami made their charge and with Dwayne Wade adding 25, the Heat stayed hot.
James hit a three-pointer to put his team ahead going into the fourth quarter and he added five straight Miami points to extend the advantage.
The Thunder had a 6-0 run to make their now familiar late charge but it was too late.
“It’s not saying that we want it more, I just feel like we understand situations more. We can deal with it better,” said Wade.
“We come from the Finals last year to this year. Experience is not over-rated at all. That helped us win the ballgame. We kept grinding and kept grinding.”
