Great Britain’s women will have to get past Serbia, Latvia and hosts France in the opening round of next year’s EuroBasket Women.
It is a tough draw for GB, who reached the second round in 2011 and faces the loss of Kim Butler to retirement. The tournament will be held from June 15-30 2013, between five different cities in the north and west of the country.
Britain, who failed to win a game at the Olympics, are still without a confirmed coach with Tom Maher now out of contract.
The draw for the men’s EuroBasket will be held on November 18, with Great Britain in the second group of seeds among the 24 teams who will go to Slovenia.
