LEICHNER NAMES 12 FOR ROMANIA
- Updated: July 8, 2013
Great Britain coach Doug Leichner has finalised his 12-man roster for the European Under-20 Championships, which begin on Friday in Romania.
The group includes four returnees from 2012 – Joe Hart, Devon van Oostrum, John Stewart and Zak Wells – with Grant Mackay the sole non-English inclusion.
Leichner, whose side are a perfect 8-0 in the build-up, has named Hart as captain.
“Joe is the perfect example of a team captain,” the GB coach said. “Joe is the hardest worker on the team, leads through his actions and puts the interests of the team ahead of his personal goals.”
Squad: Rowell Graham, Jordan Spencer, John Stewart, Devon Van Oostrum, Lewis Champion, Nick Lewis, Matthew Don, Joe Lockwood, Joe Hart (Capt.), Grant Mackay, Raphell Thomas Edwards, Zak Wells
