JOE PRUNTY LANDS USA GIG

Former Great Britain head coach Joe Prunty has been placed in charge of the USA.
The one-time Milwaukee Bucks play caller will be at the helm for the men’s AmericaCup qualifying tournament on February 19-20 in Puerto Rico.
Prunty coached GB men from 2013-2017, going 12–42 overall.
The qualifiers – where the American team will mainly be made up of G-League players – represent the first round of qualifying for the 2021 FIBA World Cup.
Prunty’s former boss, Gregg Popovich, is slated to lead the USA in the Olympics this coming summer.
