ANDY BETTS HEADS TO UKRAINE
- Updated: August 28, 2010
Veteran Great Britain international Andy Betts has made a surprise switch to the Ukrainian League champions, Budivelnyk Kiev.
The 33-year-old Leicestershire-born centre, who has sat out the current Eurobasket qualifying campaign, left Greek side Aris Salonika at the end of the last season.
He is understood to have agreed a one-year deal in Ukraine with a side that has also signed former Chicago Bulls guard Khalid El-Amin and ex-Palois player Artur Drozdov.
Betts averaged 9,5 points and 7 rebounds for Aris in the Euroleague last season.
