Mersey Tigers are to re-sign British pair James Jones and Andy Thomson for next season, BBL sources have told MVP.
Jones, who spent the off-season captaining England, remains one of the BBL’s most reliable shooters.
While Thomson, who returned from Spain last summer, is to remain with the Liverpool outfit despite strong interest from Glasgow Rocks.
It is a bonus for Tigers coach Tony Garbelotto, who has lost GB centre Olu Babalola to Cypriot club Etha Engomis and American import Jerome Gumbs understood to be joining a team in Mexico.
Back-up guard Darrell Bethune has undergone knee surgery and may miss the entire season, leaving the newly-renamed side to retool.
