- Updated: October 9, 2010
Great Britain forward Eric Boateng scored four points in his first appearance in an NBA jersey on Friday night as he bids to earn a surprise shot on the Denver Nuggets roster.
The Londoner, fresh out of Arizona State University, came off the bench hit 2 of 5 from the field and added 4 rebounds in 14 minutes of action in a 109-99 win over the Portland Trailblazers.
His GB team-mate Pops Mensah-Bonsu began his bid in earnest to grab a contract with the New Orleans Hornets when they hosted the Memphis Grizzles on Saturday.
The ex-Hackney junior, who has a non-guaranteed contract, had 1 point and 4 rebounds in 12 minutes in a 97-90 defeat.
