Guildford Heat’s fans have put the club on target for salvation after raising a large chunk of the money required to keep it in business.
Officials have confirmed that their ‘£25k in 25 days’ campaign is on track to succeeded with two weeks to go in its chase.
The fund-raising bid was started when owner Alan McClafferty warned that he might be forced to pull the plug on the BBL Trophy finalists due to a cash crisis, as first revealed in MVP last month.
“The Supporters Club would like to thank again everybody that has donated to the £25k in 25 days campaign to help us reach our current total of £17200,” said a spokesperson.
“We now have 14 days left to raise a further £7800.”
Details of the campaign can be found here.
