DAVIS PLANS AHEAD AFTER NEW GLASGOW DEAL
- Updated: June 10, 2011
Glasgow Rocks player-coach Sterling Davis has signed a new deal which MVP understands will keep him at the British Basketball League club until 2014.
And the American has now set his sights on re-building his squad for a title challenge next season.
Davis, who has yet to win a trophy in his four years at the helm, is expected to embark on a major makeover this summer. And, with his own future secured, he will travel to the USA next month to unearth fresh talent.
“It’s good to know where I stand so I can start planning for next season,” he said.
“Having that security is good and the owners have been great to me. I like it here. I know what to expect. Now I can get started on the team.”
