CZECHS BOUNCED BY DOMINANT GB

Great Britain’s women stunned the Czech Republic 81-57 in a friendly on Wednesday night in their most impressive result of the summer so far

Tom Maher’s side led from start to finish against the 2010 world championship finallists to avenge their Tuesday defeat in style.

Jo Leedham, winning her 50th cap, had 19 points and 12 steals while young centre Temi Fagbenle produced another mature performance inside.

After GB led 42-27 at the half, the Czechs tried to mount their comeback in the third and cut the lead to 52-46.

But Jenaya Wade-Fray settled any nerves with a clutch three-pointer and the home side never threatened again.
