KNICKS-PISTONS ARE LONDON-BOUND
- Updated: July 27, 2012
The New York Knicks are set to play the Detroit Pistons in London in a regular season game at The 02 Arena, league sources have told MVP.
The fixture would see the two teams meet on Thursday, January 17, with the Pistons giving up a game at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
“I would love to come back and play here,” said Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony. “Deron Williams and I were talking about this earlier, about him coming over here and playing last year and the experience he had.
“If I get a chance I would love to come over here. I’ll do anything to make that happen.”
Last season’s two planned games between the New Jersey Nets and Orlando Magic were cancelled due to the after-effects of the lockout.
In 2011, the Nets and Toronto Raptors met in back to back ties at The 02.
