RUSSIANS NOW ON GB’S OLYMPIC FLYPATH

Great Britain’s path into the knock-out stages of the Olympic Games has become even harder after Russia were added to their first round group in London following the end of the qualification tournament. The perennial European powerhouse secured their spot in Caracas, along with Lithuania and Nigeria.
After a draw was made on Sunday night, the latter two teams were added to Group A, along side the USA.
While the Russians now become GB’s opening opponents in London on July 29.
Nigeria beat Dominican Republic 88-73 in the qualifiers’ final game to become the 12th and final addition to the field.
Group A: Lithuania, Tunisia, USA, France, Nigeria, Argentina.
Group B: China, Great Britain, Brazil, Australia, Russia, Spain
