Great Britain forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu has been released by Maccabi Tel Aviv after failing a medical.
The 28-year-old Londoner underwent knee surgery in the United States following the Olympic Games when he was playing despite injury.
However on arrival in Israel, Maccabi declared him unfit and it is understand an agreement has been reached with the Euroleague side for his release.
Mensah-Bonsu, who has played for several NBA teams, spent last season with Turkish club Besiktas, leading them to the Eurochallenge trophy.
