The Toronto Raptors will face the Orlando Magic in a NBA regular season game in London on 14 January 2016.

This will mark the league’s sixth regular-season game at The 02 and the second time the Raptors have featured, having previously played in a double-header with the New Jersey Nets in 2011.

“NBA Global Games 2016 in London is a great platform for our players and staff to represent the NBA and bond with Raptors fans overseas,” Raptors Head Coach Dwane Casey said. “We look forward to an exciting atmosphere for our game against the Magic.”

Tickets for the game will go on sale at the beginning of the 2015-16 NBA season with the Magic back in the UK for the first time since a rookie centre named Shaquille O’Neal took on the Atlanta Hawks in two pre-season clashes 22 years ago.

“I remember playing in London with the Magic in 1993,” current Orlando coach Scott Skiles said. “And I am sure our current players will relish this unique opportunity.”
