RICHARDS LET GO BY SPURS
- Updated: October 1, 2016

Ryan Richards has been waived by the San Antonio Spurs ahead of NBA training camp.
It formally cuts ties with the ex-Great Britain international forward who was drafted by the Texan side in 2010.
Richards has since embarked on a nomadic tour that has taken in stops in Lebanon, Iran, China and Poland, among others, without catching on with a leading Euroleague club.
The Kent native, who quit the GB set-up after being cut ahead of EuroBasket 2011, recently insisted he was “100% focused to be in the NBA by 2018.â€
Richards will, however, now be free to try out for other teams in 2017 with the Spurs no longer holding his NBA rights.
