Scotland’s men missed out on Commonwealth bronze after a 79-69 defeat to New Zealand.
The Tall Blacks pulled away with a 10-0 run in the third quarter and although the Scots had a strong late rally, they fell short of a medal.
“We came out here to medal, we didn’t achieve that, but like I said, I’m so proud of the guys,” said Kieron Achara. “What we brought to this tournament, being underdogs, we had that grit, we had that determination, we all made our country proud.
“I just believed that we had it.”
Scotland were led by 13 points from Jonny Bunyan.
Australia crushed Canada 87-47 to take gold.
