Plymouth Raiders are looking for a new head coach after Gavin Love resigned.

It ends Love’s second spell in Devon at the close of a single season in which the Raiders failed to qualify for the BBL Playoffs, finishing third from bottom in the standings.

He is rejoining his former team in Luxembourg, AB Contern, on a three-year deal.

“I have been offered an opportunity that I simply could not refuse, one that at this moment in time is best for my family and I,” he said.

“There has been much work and preparation already carried out for the coming season and the Plymouth Raiders are in a great position moving forward. Next season will be a fantastic one for the club.”

One of the prime candidates, ex-Glasgow and Great Britain coach Tony Garbelotto, has ruled himself out of the running.
