ROYALS TO GET OFF TO A FLYER
- Updated: July 16, 2018

BBL newcomers London City Royals will travel to Bristol Flyers for their first-ever fixture this coming season.
With the new British Basketball League fixtures released on Monday, the Crystal Palace outfit will go on the road on Saturday September 22 which marks the opening weekend of the new campaign.
The Royals first home game will be a week later to Surrey Scorchers.
The opening night, 24 hours earlier, sees Paul James get an immediate return to Worcester Wolves in charge of his new club Plymouth Raiders. London Lions host Glasgow Rocks, Newcastle Eagles face Cheshire Phoenix and Manchester Giants visit Sheffield Sharks.
Champions Leicester Riders have been granted a late start to their campaign to accommodate their participation in European competition with Rob Paternostro’s men not opening their league defence until 20 October when they host the Royals, a week after the All Stars Championship in London.
Unlike in previous seasons, the BBL Cup and Trophy draws will be undertaken ahead of the first round.
