Worcester Wolves head coach Ty Shaw has been discharged from hospital after taking ill at half-time of Friday’s game against Sheffield.
It is understood a medical team was summoned to locker room with the American taken to hospital for treatment.
Although initial reports suggested Shaw had suffered a heart attack, treatment overnight led to his release on Saturday morning.
In a statement, Wolves managing director Mick Donovan said: “We are pleased to say that he has been discharged from hospital this morning and will be taking some time to rest and make a full recovery.â€
A decision was taken to continue with the game with the Wolves, currently bottom of the BBL, losing 114-76.
Post-game, it was also confirmed that Sharks forward Leslee Smith has left by mutual consent after recently being sidelined by concussion.
