HORNETS GIVE KBW A SHOT

Kavell Bigby-Williams has signed a one-year contract with the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets.

The London-born centre, 23, has penned an Exhibit 10 contract with the Hornets which likely see him compete in Summer League for either a spot at training camp or the offer of a contract in the G-League.

Bigby-Williams, who was not picked in this week’s NBA Draft, averaged 8.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks across 24.6 minutes during conference play for Louisiana State University last season.

Exhibit 10 deals generally allow the NBA team to convert a player’s one-year, minimum contract into a two-way contract but this has to occur prior to the start of the regular season.
