LUXEMBOURG STEAL A MARCH

Luxembourg beat Kosovo 88-80 in the opening game in GB’s EuroBasket pre-qualifying group.

It gives the part-timers the first two points before GB enter the fray on Wednesday when they travel to Minatori to face Kosovans in Nate Reinking’s first game in charge.

The ex-Great Britain guard is set to select Ovie Soko despite the forward missing part of training camp to fulfil his contractual commitments on television show Love Island.

Gareth Murray is also likely to feature over the four games even though the Glasgow Rocks veteran has been absent while coaching GB’s under-18 3×3 team in Italy.

GB host Luxembourg in Manchester next Saturday, with the home side looking to avenge their surprise 82-76 loss in the Duchy in 2016 which came after EuroBasket qualification had already been secured.
