Ella Clark is returning to basketball, two years after seemingly quitting sport.

The Great Britain forward, a much-missed presence on the international stage, has signed for Leicester Riders.

Her arrival in the WBBL will be the first time Clark has played hoops since a knee injury in 2017.

“Excited to have this opportunity to return to basketball with one of the best teams in the country,” she said.

“It’s been two years since I last played. I took a break after doing my ACL, and I’ve missed it a lot, which is the main reason for trying to get back in to playing.”

Clark will feature for the Riders in tandem with turning out in semi-popular recreational hobby, netball, for Loughborough.

Leicester, who lifted the WBBL Trophy last term, have also signed Christina Gaskin.
