Plymouth Raiders have brought back Elvisi Dusha.

The 26 year old is an experienced BBL campaigner having kickstarted his career with Surrey in 2013, before spells at Raiders, Worcester Wolves and Cheshire Phoenix before joining the London City Royals in 2018/19.

Head Coach Paul James said: “We are very happy to have signed Elvisi for the 2020/21 season. Still only 26, he has a lot of experience playing in the BBL.

“In the past few seasons he has helped his teams to Finals and won the Trophy with the London City Royals in 2019. Elvisi is a real competitor, is selfless and certainly strengthens our depth throughout the squad.”

In recent days, the Devon outfit re-signed Denzil Ubiaro for a fourth year and landed Elliott Sentance following the wing’s impactful role in Solent Kestrels’ unprecedented season of success last term.

James added: “He had an outstanding season with Solent Kestrels last season and played a major part in his team getting to the BBL Trophy Final.

“They beat London Lions and Bristol Flyers on the way to the final where he saved his best game to last against Newcastle Eagles where he contributed 26pts, 7rbs and 4ast in a narrow defeat. He is a very talented, rounded player and we think he will do really good things with us.”

Raheem May-Thompson will make a return to Leicester Riders, signing a two-year deal.

The British forward re-joins the Riders after spells with Cheshire Phoenix, Mulhouse Pfastatt and Worcester Wolves.

Raheem played a role in Rob Paternostro’s side during the 2015-16 season when Leicester won both the league and BBL Trophy.

“Obviously Raheem is a guy we know very well,” said Paternostro.

“We are excited to have him back. He was great to work with last time and we are all looking forward to working with him again”

“He is an athletic versatile player with plenty of experience who can play multiple positions and can fit in with many different line-ups.”

“I really like how he has performed in big games and is a player that doesn’t shy away from the big moments.”
