ROCKS SNARE BOBAN AS ASH DROPS

Glasgow Rocks have handed rookie centre Boban Jacdomni a shot in the BBL.

The 24-year-old arrives at the Emirates Arena from Southern Mississippi University where he averaged seven points per game last season.

And Rocks coach Gareth Murray reckons his gamble on the Londoner can pay off for his revamped squad.

“He just completed four years of college basketball, the last two being at Southern Mississippi,” he said. “He will bring some more depth inside and continue to develop his all round game.

“Now we have a prospective start date for the league, hopefully in the next few weeks we can get back to action and start preparing for the season. I am excited to start working with all the young talent we have signed.”

American duo Dante Thorpe and Terrell Vinson will not be returning to Glasgow, Murray confirmed.

Ash falls in Plymouth

Plymouth Raiders have signed Great Britain forward Ashley Hamilton.

As MVP first revealed, the Londoner had been in extended talks with Paul James’ side and re-joins a clutch of former team-mates at the now-defunct London City Royals, including Andrew Lawrence and Will Neighbour.

James said: “Ashley has been one of the best players in the BBL for the past couple of years and we are extremely excited that we have been able to pen him for the coming season. Signing GB International Ashley, further underlines our intention to be one of the top clubs in the country.

“He has a wealth of experience having played all over Europe at a high level and we look forward to using his experience and talent to help Plymouth Raiders to success. We are extremely excited by this signing and look forward to getting started. “
