SEMIS SWITCHED TO MANCHESTER

The BBL Cup semi-finals will now both be played in Manchester as one-off games.

The decision, taken due “to fixture pressures due to COVID-19 implications” following a slew of postponements, mean the two last four ties will be held on Tuesday January 12 at Belle Vue.

It means the Giants will have home advantage for their game with London Lions which will tip off at 8pm.

Leicester Riders v Newcastle Eagles will commence at 5pm.

Both games will be broadcast live via BBL Player.

The Final is slated to take place on Sunday 24 January although it is not expected to be held at its original venue of ArenaBirmingham.

Elsewhere, Plymouth Raiders have completed the signing of American guard Rickey McGill who spent last season with Greek side Panionios.
