Temi Fagbenle’s spell at the Minnesota Lynx has been ended by a trade.

The Great Britain centre, currently at Italian side Venezia, was included in a deal with the Indiana Fever.

The move gave them the exclusive negotiating rights for Fagbenle, who was not formally under contract with the Lynx, with whom she won a WNBA Championship in 2017.

The Lynx traded the player contract of Odyssey Sims, Fagbenle’s rights, Minnesota’s own 2022 first round pick and Minnesota’s own 2022 third round pick to Indiana in exchange for Indiana’s own 2022 second round pick.

The British star last played in the league in 2019 but her return this summer could be facilitated with no conflicts with international duty from GB.
