Scotland’s basketballers could lose home advantage in their bid to reach the Commonwealth Games.
It comes after this month’s qualification tournament in Paisley was called off due to Covid.
The two-day event was due to pit the hosts against Wales and Northern Ireland for single berths in the men’s, women’s and wheelchair 3×3 competition in Birmingham.
But it was confirmed on Thursday that it will be postponed with organisers now facing a headache to reschedule during the club season.
“We are awaiting an extension to be granted by Commonwealth Games Federation and Birmingham, but everyone seems supportive of us hosting at a later date,” said Barry Lang of Basketball Scotland.
“We still want it to be decided on the court.”
