On  this day, 14 years ago, Vince Carter pulled off what is, hands down, the greatest “in-game” dunk of all time.
The scene was the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The game was USA v France.
The victim was a 7′ 2″ centre who, as a former New York Knicks first-round draft pick who never played a single minute in the NBA, should have been forgotten long ago.
You shouldn’t know his name.
But you do.
Thanks to this moment of Vin-sanity, “Frederic Weis” will forever etched in the annals of basketball history.
